Silver 4 star ribbon Bob Campbell MW The Real Review

Bright, fresh, wine with appealing purity and cherry, spicy oak, vanilla, dried herb and hedgerow flavours. High-energy wine that deserves a little bottle age but is accessible now” 27 Jun 2024 Bob Campbell

Michael Cooper MA ONZM 4 star rating

“Already drinking well, the 2022 vintage (****) was hand-picked from the estate’s younger vines and matured for a year in seasoned French oak barrels. Ruby hued, it is mouthfilling and supple, with very good depth of vibrant, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, gently seasoned with oak, and supple tannins. Savoury and harmonious, it should be at its best mid-2025+” 5 Sep 2024 Michael Cooper

Description

This is our gateway Pinot Noir produced from fruit grown at our Home Vineyard from young vines.

These hand-picked grapes are 100% de-stemmed, then cold macerated and fermented on the skins for three weeks and then matured in two to five year old French oak barrels for 12 months.

Rich, ripe, juicy fruit on the nose and on the palate fresh red berries with cranberry flavours.  A good mouthfeel, silky tannins and a long lingering finish complete this value-for-money Pinot Noir.
